The boys and their rides

Kyle has unconventional ways of using his riding toys. Usually he tries to drive them backward, but this was a while new way to ride. He opened the trunk and climbed inside (Ben would have never thought of something like that). When he decides to ride someplace, he leaves the seat up and scoots to wherever he wants to go and then climbs back in. This time he scooted to get his toy and then right back in.
We just picked up a new bike for Ben off of Craig's list after church on Sunday. It didn't have training wheels and he was ready to bring it out to the shed because "this bike is too scary, Mom." But after 6 days of practice, he figured out how to keep his balance and steer. He still has to figure out how to start on his own, but he has come a long way this week.

He has taken a few spills, but no blood yet. Oh, and he just got the helmet and pads Friday when we went shopping, so he really just has been that lucky not to get scraped up.
